Interactive Demographic Map for 2008 Presidential Election

A coworker just forwarded me this interactive demographic map where you can adjust different demographics based on voting preference and turnout and it predicts what the results of the 2008 presidential election will be.

Basically, for each demographic (male/female, white/black/Hispanic, Catholic/Protestant) you can select how you expect them to vote and how they will turn out to the polls. The map will then adjust electoral college votes and predict whether Barack Obama or John McCain will win the election.

Now, I’m not going to pretend that I know how every demographic is going to vote in November, but it’s still very interesting to play with.
